| Gravity Wall Projection Game |

The Gravity Wall Projection Game is an interactive exhibition display that allows users to play with 4 types of virtual balls (soccer, basketball, table tennis and golf) in three different gravitational environments: normal gravity (earth), low gravity (moon) and high gravity (planet x).
When users move in front of the wall, the shape of their bodies is projected onto it as a blue silhouette, similar to their natural shadow. The various types of ball then drop randomly from the top of the screen into the scene, along with information on their relative properties, such as mass and diameter. Users are invited to play with these virtual balls in the atmospheric conditions of the various celestial bodies, each of which is depicted with its own background and sounds.
The aim of the game is to keep the ball up in the air by juggling it with your feet as one would a soccer ball or hacky sack. The differing demands of each planetary environment on the user’s ball skills clearly demonstrates the principle of gravity and how it affects the behaviour of objects and our interactions with them.
The Gravity Wall Projection Game is based on an idea by Sci-Bono Discovery Centre.
